Derevenka has received the award of Baikal Friends competition for achievements in the savings of resources and preservation of cultural traditions of Siberia.
Baikal Friends 2008 Competition has started on May, 15 the current
year. Its purpose was to reveal the most harmless places of
accommodation of tourists to Pribaikalye and to distribute of their
experience on protection of an environment. Application forms for
participation in competition have sent 23 camp sites of Irkutsk
area. The best among them was defined by the jury consisting of
experts the GreenPeace of Russia, the Baikal Ecological Wave organization,
employees of Pribaikalsky national park, Institute of Geography
of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science, Irkutsk
branch of the Russian of architects.
Results of competition have been declared on September, 19. The
center of hunting and tourism Talovskoe (Grand Baikal company),
located in settlement Buguldejka has been recognized as the absolute
winner of competition. The Baikal Friend rank was appropriated to it.
The special symbols of difference – the Green leafs - are awarded of seven objects.
Prizes have awarded for compliance with certain environmental standards.
By the owner of three Green leafs became the winner of last year competition –
small tourist village Khrustalnyi well (Grand Baikal) which resides on Baikal trakt (road).
According to chairman of jury of competition, press secretary
Greenpeace Russia Eugeny Usov, «is unique site where in the small
territory it is possible to make very much much: to save the nature,
a landscape, as well as cultural traditions».
Two Green Leafs has received Nikita Bencharov Manor, located on the
Olkhon Island, for the efforts for the reclamation debris, in
particular, the introduction separate collection of waste.
As much badges has got to Gold Owl hotel and family hotel
Derevenka from Listvjanka.
The Derevenka is awarded for achievements in the savings of resources
and preservation of cultural traditions of Siberia.
Jury noted and other parties competition. So, the letter for care of
preservation of ground and gardening of territory the Tutaysky Priboy
tourist complex, located on the Small sea. The family hotel Bed and
Breakfast (Port Baikal) is marked for use of safe cleaners. The
letter for preservation of cultural traditions of Siberia in
architecture has got to a Baikal Terema tourist complex from
Listvjanka. The innovation in a waste management has brought a
recognition of jury to camp site Shamanka (Olkhon). For positive
shifts in the decision of environmental problems and presence of the
stand with the evident information on the nature of Baikal Naratey
camping hotel (the Small sea) is marked. The U Ozera hotel
(Listvjanka) is awarded with the letter for presence of the evident
information on the nature of Baikal and rules of behaviour of
tourists. The Altan Khada guest house is awarded for preservation of
cultural traditions of Pribaikalye (the Small sea).
We thank jury of competition for a high estimation of our
Derevenka. We shall try to use our best efforts to justify this
estimation and we shall necessarily take into account the
recommendations stated in our address.
